Synkrisis
Synkrisis is the ancient rhetorical exercise of setting two subjects side by side. Here it sets the conference archives side by side: the same measures for every series, on the same years, with each series' gaps left visible. Pick a comparison from the sidebar.
These are people listed in a program, not attendees. The series differ in size by a factor of thirty, so every page leads with shares and rates, and counts are given beside them. No page names a person.

Where each archive is weak
- CCCC. 2000 to 2003 are missing and 2018 prints hashtags where other years print areas.
- IWAC. A draft: 2002 is an OCR'd scan, and 2008 and 2016 have known weak spots.
- Computers and Writing. A draft: 1987 to 1988, 1991 to 1994, 2016 to 2017 and 2020 to 2021 are missing, 1997, 2007, 2008 and 2012 are weak scans, seven years print few or no institutions, and the 2024 schedule names almost no one.
- CPTSC. A draft: 1976 and 2020 are missing, 2016 was cancelled but its proceedings were published, the volumes through 2004 are scans read by OCR and checked by hand, and 1989 is an agenda.
- Community Writing. A draft: the conference meets in odd years, 2025 is only its public DeepThink Tank listing and one keynote, and the 2019 and 2021 programs print some chairs and speakers without institutions.
