Who convenes the field?

Each IWAC program lists the people the conference put on its stages: who chaired, who presented, who responded, and from which institutions. This page counts them, conference by conference, from 2002 to 2025.

These are people listed in the program, not registrants or attendees. The conference ran every two years, 2002 is read from an OCR'd scan, and every year was read from a different program layout. Shaded bands on the chart mark those breaks. How to read these numbers.
1,014sessions
4,099listings of a person in a session

By year

Each year opens that conference's program. Institutions are matched to ROR; the share outside the US uses people whose institution matched.

“First listed” counts people whose first listing in this corpus is that year, so early years run high. Names are joined only on an exact match; no reviewed merges have been made for IWAC yet.
